Artist’s note:
Through capturing this famous scene from The Fellowship of the Ring, I wanted to replicate the moonlight effect, so I shot this at night with a tungsten fill light. Using UV paint on the doors, dimming the tungsten fill light, and bringing in a UV torch I was able to shine the light from the top down onto the wall to make the wall lines appear as if they were glowing. The effect came out far better than I was expecting and the fill moonlight was worth those few hours of lost sleep.
